How to find clients is always a hot topic when I talk to people in the early (and even the not-so-early) stages of building a fractional or independent consulting business. And while I’ve previously talked about where I’ve found my clients and the importance of targeted outreach in my business, I know that even finding leads to talk to can feel incredibly daunting. So today, I thought I’d share how I uncover leads and build outreach lists.
I’ve found that looking for leads isn’t just useful for targeted outreach - it’s also helpful in building the belief that there’s plenty of opportunity out there. Here are some of my favorite places to look.
