Happy Friday, friends!
If you read last week’s newsletter, you know that LinkedIn has played a huge role in my business growth. And honestly, it was a journey, with lots of learning along the way. To help you fast-track your own success, here are four things that helped me massively improve my LinkedIn game:
Getting Clear on my Target Audience
In 2020, I took my first big step in clarifying my ideal client, and I wish I’d done it sooner - it would’ve supercharged all that cold outreach I was doing in 2019.
I tailored my profile to that audience by:
Updating my headline to be specific and calling out my work with Amazon and Nutrafol - two brands I knew appealed to potential clients.
Incorporating phrases that kept coming up in conversations with prospects. This went beyond just industry terms - for a while, I had “stop throwing spaghetti at the wall” in my profile because that phrase was popping up so often.
Highlighting results that mattered to my clients, like revenue growth and marketing efficiency - I wanted to make these easy to spot.
Since that first overhaul, I review and adjust my profile every three months or so to keep it as relevant as possible.
